The PENAPPS project built on the success of the VETCOP project, that created an online platform to help Practice Enterprises engage in international trade. This platform reflected the idea of the digital single market and included three parts: a B2B Marketplace, a Banking System, and a Login Server.
The PENAPPS project added new features to the existing platform. These included an e-commerce module, a Web Application, a Messaging and Notifications system to link different parts of the software, and a Monitoring and Ticketing system to keep everything running smoothly. Also a feature called Worlds, which lets Practice Enterprises operate in their own virtual “world” that can adjust time to fit their learning stage.

The VETCOP project developed an online trade platform for Practice Enterprises. It aimed to improve employability in the trade sector. This platform allows for international collaboration through ICT-based market simulation.
The project’s main goal was to enable Practice Enterprises to engage in international trade. Users can trade goods and services, make payments through realistic banking systems, and gain skills needed in international trade and commerce.
Partners from Denmark, France, Spain, Switzerland and Germany formed the consortium to unify the Practice Enterprise concept. The platform’s development mixed traditional and agile methodologies. It provided a dynamic tool to align training with international trade skills and work-based learning principles.
