The Lithuanian Practice Enterprise Programme started in June, 1993 according to the project of Lithuanian Ministry of Culture and Science and three Danish business colleges. The Practice Enterprise centre coordinating the activities of Practice Enterprises in Lithuania is called "Simulith Centre". It was founded in 1994 and operating in Vilniaus kolegija/University of Applied Sciences. About 2600 students each year work in Practice Enterprise including students from high schools and universities as well as adults from retraining Vocational Rehabilitation institutions.
