What is Corporate Social Responsibility?

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) refers to the responsibility of enterprises, companies and organizations to support the well-being of society and be accountable. CSR programmes provide an opportunity to increase and improve the social, environmental and economic impact of an organization and to give back to the community by supporting various initiatives. CSR initiatives do not need to be extensive, time-consuming programmes but can be tailored to the organization's capacity and interest.

CSR opportunities at PEN Worldwide

There are a number of opportunities to get involved in the Practice Enterprise community and support youth education, help facilitate adult re-integration into the labour market or promote social inclusion. Here are a few of our CSR focus areas:

  • Events: International, national and regional events such as Practice Enterprise Trade Fairs and online Trading Events. Our event organization teams are always looking for volunteers who can dedicate a few hours depending on the event type.
  • Challenges & Competitions: Our teams are happy to have the support of judges from the business world to evaluate our Practice Enterprise competitions - from Global Enterprise Challenges to Elevator Pitches and Social Media Competitions. Involvement doesn't require more than a few hours of your time and is often flexible.
  • Mentoring: An exciting long-term opportunity is to become a mentor company for one or more Practice Enterprises in our network. The level of involvement can be evaluated individually and tailored to your needs.
  • Best Practices & Knowledge Sharing: Our goal is to provide the best possible and most up-to-date support to our Practice Enterprise Trainees. In order to continuously improve our training concept, our Coordination Center organizes sessions for the national Central Office staff to exchange ideas, share updates or best practices and introduce new tools. We're always interested in having experts from the business world provide valuable insights on topics such as entrepreneurship, equality, HR trends, diversity management, new work trends, digitalisation and more.

If you are interested in supporting youth, young adults, persons with disadvantages and various other groups in their path towards a successful, happy personal and educational life, contact our Coordination Center Team today and get involved.
